The official notification of CLAT (UG) is now out so we have all the important news to share with you about admission procedure of the exam. So lets see what surprises and changes CLAT brings with itself in 2016:
- CLAT 2016 exam date: 8th May, 2016
- Official notification released on: 14th December, 2015
- Application procedure begins on: 1st January 2016
- Lat Date to apply: 31st March 2016
- Maharashtra- NLU Mumbai will now accept candidates through CLAT
- No age limit is prescribed for CLAT 2016
You must have minimum 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination to be eligible for General, OBC and Specially abled persons category. This however is 40% in case of SC and ST reserved categories. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) in March/April 2016 are also eligible to apply.

If you are wondering who will set the paper for CLAT (UG) in 2016, the answer is Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala. There is no update on the petition filed for establishment of one governing body to set the exam test paper.
So if we go by the recent notifications, the Law Entrance Exam calendar for 2016 will look somewhat like this:
- SET 2016 on 31st March
- AILET 2016 on 1st May
- CLAT 2016 on 8th May
