Civil Services Exam(CSE) is a National-level exam conducted by the UPSC every year for recruitment to Indian Police Service(IPS), Indian Administrative Service(IAS), Indian Foreign Service(IFS) and Indian Revenue service(IRS).

Right from the formulation of the constitution, IAS as a career has been always preferred since it earns a job of utmost esteem.

It is one of the toughest exams in the country with very low success rates. Success rates are nearly 0.1-0.3%.

IAS 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria is based on the following parameters:

  • Candidates in the final year or awaiting results are also eligible to apply for UPSC exaam

IAS 2016 ONLINE APPLICATION FORM/REGISTRATION

  • Candidates can visit upsconline.nic.in & apply online
  • Online Registration is in two parts.First you will have to register as Part I
  • A transaction ID will be allocated to candidate and then candidate becomes eligible for Part II registration
  • Next step is to deposit challan in any branch of SBI or through SBI net banking

  • Prelims exam is for screening purpose only. Marks obtained in this exam are only meant for qualifying to Mains exam and are not counted for determining the Final Merit list
  • Candidates must obtain minimum 33% marks in Paper II to qualify for Mains
  • Candidates are selected for mains based on the Total Qualigying marks for Paper I.
