Preparing for Quant for SBI PO requires a thorough practice of complete syllabi. However, if time is limited, you will have to be very selective on distributing time among different topics.

Based on my experience, I am listing Topic wise strategy which must be followed to prepare in limited time for SBI PO.

Simplification: As per exam pattern, this section carries a lot of weight age. A large number of questions are asked from this topic. These problems are easy to solve. You must prepare a mixture of problems comprising of BODMAS Rule, Square and Cube Roots, Approximation, Surds and Indices, Percentage and Decimals. You can solve this section first as questions are easy and only require mental calculation.

Number Series: Nearly 5 questions come from this topic. This topic is easy but you need a lot of practice to master it. Since this topic is based on a variety of different patterns, you must solve a wide variety of questions to get a grab of this topic.

Quadratic Equations: These questions come in the range of 0-5 depending on who has set the paper. You should practice large no of questions on this topic as it is easy and scoring.

Data Interpretation: As nearly 5-10 questions come from this section, practice a variety of questions on Line Graph, Bar Graph, Pie Chart, Bar Chart and Data Tables. In this type of questions, you can rely on Visual Approximation for arriving at a correct solution quickly. We hop you know various time saving tips for data interpretation by now. Learn tables so as to ensure speedier calculation. Do practice questions on missing data. They are very easy but might not strike you if you have not tried them earlier. Data interpretation questions are basically questions on averages, percentages and ratio proportion.
