One Week Revision Strategy for SBI PO Prelims 2016

Day 1

  1. Syllogism : This is the easiest part, so we recommend you to revise this first. We recommend you to follow the Venn Diagram method for syllogism questions rather than following any other shortcuts which are not really shortcuts.
  2. Time and Work: Practice at least 20 questions by applying the appropriate method. This will assist you in selecting the right method in the exam.
  3. Data Interpretation (Charts/ Bar graphs/ tables): You must practice different types of charts for at least 1 hour by applying all shortcuts and tricks.
  4. Take an Online mock Test: Attempt 1 Online Full length mock test and analyze your performance thoroughly. Now strategize to improve your speed and accuracy in tomorrow’s mock test.
  5. Give time to English: Practice 1 Reading comprehension of 10 questions today. Alos practice 2 sets of para jumbles.

Day 2

  1. Profit and Loss : Practice a mixed bag of questions based on different types of questions.
  2. Simple and Compound Interest - Practice a mix of questions based on different types.
  3. Time, Speed and Distance: You must practice at least 20 questions from this topic by applying shortcuts.
  4. Data Interpretation (Charts) : Practice different types of charts for at least half hour.
  5. Take Speed Tests: Attempt 1 full length test today also and analyze your mistakes thoroughly.

 

Day 3

  1. Data Interpretation (2 tables/ diagrams): You must practice at least 10 questions on data tables by applying all shortcuts.
  2. Seating Arrangement: Practice sufficient number of questions on linear and circular seating arrangement. Leave out questions which are a combination of seating arrangement and blood relations for tomorrow.
  3. Grammar: Revise basic grammar rules that you usuually mix up. Else you can go ahead and practice as many possible questions on sentence correction and phrase relacement.
  4. Attempt 1 SBI PO Online Mock Test Paper: Analyze your performance chart and practice questions on weak areas. See if the strategy you formulated yesterday helped you improve your score and accuracy. Make amendments for tomorrow’s mock.
  5. Reading Comprehension: Practce 1 reading comprehension today also. Attempt under time pressure.

 

Day 4

  1. Cloze test: Practice questions on cloze test and fill in the blanks for at least half hour. Try to solve them as quickly as possible but with high accuracy.
  2. Data Interpretation (missing data): Don’t forget to practice missing data interpretation questions which are more frequently asked in SBI-PO recruitment exam. Practice at least 10 questions based on missing data interpretation under time pressure.
  3. Seating Arrangement + Blood relations: At least 1 set of questions on seating arrangement with blood relations is expected to be asked in SBI-PO Prelims exam. These are more complex than regular seating arrangement questions so practice them thoroughly.
  4. Logical Puzzles: Practice 3 puzzles on day 4 and see where you are losing time.
  5. Attempt 1 Reading Comprehension.
  6. Attempt 1 SBI PO Online Mock Test: Check your performance chart and practice questions on the topics where you committed mistakes. Finalize your strategy for the final exam.

Day 5

  1. Series : There are 5-6 techniques under sries questions. Practice a mixed bag of questions using shortcuts.
  2. Inequalities: This is one of the easiest and most scoring topic. Practice a variety of questions on this topic on coded and decoded inqualities questions.
  3. Ratio and proportion: 4-5 questions on ratio and proportions (including mixtures and allegations) are expected in SBI-PO Prelims. Practice ample questions so that you can attempt them accturately in the final exam.
  4. Attempt a full length mock test.

 

Day 6

  1. Revise formulas, shortcuts and tricks of Quantitative Aptitude.
  2. Revise formulas and shortcuts of Reasoning section.
  3. Study and Revise Grammar rules.
  4. Attempt 1 SBI PO Online Mock test. After checking your performance, practice questions on the topics where you committed mistakes.
  5. Take 3-4 speed tests.

 

Day 7

  1. Revise formulas, shortcuts and tricks of Quantitative Aptitude.
  2. Revise formulas and shortcuts of Reasoning section.
  3. Relax and do not take too much stress.
  4. Do not start any new topic which you ave never touched upon before.
