Key points that must be kept in mind while preparing for the examination:

1. Set a fixed routine for study:

Divide the time for topics as per the difficulty level. Don’t study a single subject for too long. All the section are equally important. So don’t neglect any section. Study reasoning for 2-3 hours and then take a break and after that spend 2-3 hours on maths. Study Maths in the morning when you are fresh and computers before going to bed. English can studied when you are tired of studying Maths & Reasoning.

2. Analyse your strong & weak areas

Try to spend more time on your weak topics and prepare them well and sharpen your strong areas. After the Prelims, you must have a rough idea about where you were weak. You will only be able to judge your strong and weak areas better once you take a number of full length IBPS-PO Mains mock tests.

3. Time management is very important

Time management is very important. 200 questions are to be attempted in 140 minutes. You will have sectional timings. You should be quick from the very beginning & practice plays a very important role to increase your speed. You should make use of a stopwatch while practicing at home.

4. Accuracy is essential to qualify the exam

You must attempt the paper with atleast 90% accuracy. Accuracy is very essential as you already there is negative marking. So, attempt only those questions in which you have more than 90% accuracy.

5. Give more and more sectional tests

Sectional tests helps you analyse how well you have prepared for a single topic. Give more sectional tests on the topic you are weak at.

6. Practice full length mock tests

Try to attempt atleast 4-5 full length Mock Tests before your exam. Mock tests give you a feel of real examination & by taking ample mock tests you will also be able learn time management. Proper analysis of mock tests lets you know about your weak areas and you can work on them.

7. Clear all your doubts

It is very important to clear all your doubts. You can take the help of your friends, teachers etc. You can discuss your doubts in group of friends. You can also take help of Online sources for clearing your doubts.

Remember,

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference.

So make an effort in the right direction otherwise all your efforts will go waste. Make a correct strategy , stay focussed, have faith in yourself & prepare with determination , you will surely be able to succeed.

“There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”
