Try NOT TO REPEAT these mistakes in IBPS-PO!
Went Unaware of the Competition
Aspirants took the exam casually and went unprepared for the exam. They forgot that they are competing for 2000 vacancies against 20 lakh candidates from All Over India!
Not Acquainted with the Online Platform
SBI and IBPS exams are conducted on an online examination platform. Candidates are used to attempting exams with traditional method of paper- pencil and the online platform makes them uncomfortable. Aspirants were unaware how to operate the software used to take the exam.
- Some aspirants attempted the questions in the order of how they appeared and did not have time to attempt questions from every section. These students won’t be able to clear the sectional cut-off.
- Some examinees did not know to switch between the 3 sections (Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English) while attempting the exam.
- Candidates lost their usual speed while attempting the Exam online and thus many are expected not to clear the Prelims this time.
All this could have been avoided if they had practiced well on an Efficient Online Testing Platform before the exam.
Time Management Problem
Candidates knew most of the questions but time to attempt the questions was a constraint. 1 hour’s duration was not sufficient to attempt a total of 100 questions.
Firstly, Candidates require sufficient practice to attempt maximum questions in 60 minutes duration. If they have not practiced enough they might not be able to attempt many questions in one hour and hence would not be able succeed in clearing the exam cut-off.
Secondly, Aspirants should have a well–thought strategy for time management, lacking which, they will not be able to make it through SBI-PO or IBPS-PO Prelims.
Unaware About Sectional Cut –Off
Some of the candidates had not taken the online tests beforehand and were not aware of the online platform. The basis of selection process is a certain score in each section of the exam. A few candidates could not reach respective sections and clear the sectional cut – off. It was mandatory to attempt a certain number of questions in every section and achieve a sectional cut – off to clear the PO Prelims exam.
Candidates Were Not Aware of Change in Syllabus
