Required Qualification and Experience
Candidates should have a full-time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering from AICTE approved College/Institute or a recognized university if they wish to apply for the Trainee Engineer-I and Project Engineer-I posts.
As far as experience is concerned, candidates belonging to different educational backgrounds should have the below-mentioned experience for the posts:
| Electronics and Communication Engineering | Project execution & warranty support, Product Assurance/ Support activities for various hubs/data centers and sites for installation & commissioning Experience in analyzing & debugging of Analog, digital µ-controller-based circuits.Basic understanding of electronic components &programming of devices such as PAL, PROMS, EEPROMS etc. Operational level understanding of electronic instruments such as CRO, DMM, Spectrum Analyser, Function generator, Frequency counter etc. Knowledge of manual/automatic inspection & testing/troubleshooting of PCB will be preferred. |
| Mechanical Engineering | Relevant experience in Design(incl. preparation of drawings)or Manufacturing/Production related activities i.e.Project Management/Production Planning and Control/Fabrication and machining of Parts or assemblies/Procurement/Quality Control/Maintenance etc. Experience in the use of SAP/ERP and computer software(Auto CAD, MS Project, MS office)is desirable. |
| Computer Science | Experience in C++, Jawa, algorithm development, SW documentation, SW testing, python, GUI architecture & UI application development. Hand-on experience of testing tools, unit testing, white box testing, and black-box testing, manual testing and automated testing. Knowledge in CASE tools experience on Linux system & system requirement documentation will be preferable. Knowledge of Networking, Satellite communication products, cellular networks including LTE, C Band/Ku Band/ Ka-band, RF products, basic domain knowledge of Data Centre architecture, Database application servers, clustering, cloud computing, IT security Infrastructure etc. |
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the post of Trainee Engineer-I and Project Engineer-I as on 09.03.2022 for General Candidates is 28 and 32 years respectively.
However, certain age relaxations are given to OBC, SC/ST candidates as per the government guidelines.
Selection Procedure for Trainee Engineer-I/Project Engineer-I
Selection Criteria Weightage Criteria-I
Percentage of marks obtained in BE, B.Tech, B.Sc Engineering – CGPA* score will be converted to percentage of marks *% conversion formula shall be attached for respective University. 75% or 75 Marks Criteria-II
Work Experience – Candidates meeting basic eligibility criteria of relevant work experience will be awarded 2.5 Marks. For every completed 6 months of additional relevant work experience, 1.25 marks will be awarded. The maximum marks in this criterion are limited to 10 marks. 10 Marks Interview (Video-based) 15 Marks Total 100 Marks
