A Distinguished Diplomat

Navdeep Singh Suri joined the Indian Foreign Service back in 1983. Having completed his distinguished 36 years in the Indian Foreign Service, Navdeep Singh Suri has served various diplomatic missions in Cairo, Washington, Damascus, Dar es Salaam, London, and as India's Consul General in Johannesburg. 

Besides this, he has also headed crucial departments at the Ministry of External Affairs, such as West Africa and Public Diplomacy.

IFS

During his diplomatic career, he served as the High Commissioner (Australia), Ambassador (Egypt), Consul General (South Africa), Counsellor (London), First Secretary (Washington DC), and the Ambassador (United Arab Emirates).

To recognize and acknowledge the efforts that Navdeep Singh Suri put to strengthen the relationship between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India, the president of UAE conferred Mr. Suri with the Order of Zyad II, the country's second-highest civilian award. 

Now that we know his stint as a Diplomat let's talk about the educational background of Mr. Navdeep Singh Suri. 

Educational Background

As far as the educational credentials of Navdeep Singh Suri are concerned, he holds a Master's Degree in Economics from the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Apart from that, he also possesses a Diploma in the Arabic language from the American University in Cairo.  

And that's not it! He's currently a Distinguished Fellow and Director of the Centre for New Economic Diplomacy (CNED).
