Hi, I am Dr. Ronak Kochatta. I did graduation from International School of Medicine, Bishkek. I scored 215 marks in FMGE June 2018. According to you what is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory + MCQ's? Theory accompanied by 30-40 MCQs from PrepLadder on a daily basis. When should the preparation ideally be started? The preparation should ideally be started in the 4th year. Please list the books you studied for each subject. Biochemistry -Satyanarayan Pediatrics- O.P. Ghai Medicine- Khanna Pathology- Harsh Mohan Physiology- Semulingum Is this your first attempt? If No, what did you do different this year that lead to your success? Yes, this was my first attempt. What's the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it? Revision is a must. It is not necessary to revise each subject 4-5 times. Even 2 revisions are sufficient if you have clear concepts. Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how? Yes, of course, PrepLadder played a great role in my success. I solved 30-40 MCQs from PrepLadder on daily basis. It always boosted my confidence and I want to thank the entire PrepLadder family for their support. Did you follow a timetable/study plan to keep your preparation on track? No, I just did daily revisions. Were you a topper or an average student during graduation? Topper in my college. List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you. Most difficult is Psychiatry and Ortho; remaining all were easy. One mistake that should be avoided while preparing for FMGE. Study all the subjects, don’t just follow the blueprint. Some tips for our readers preparing for FMGE? Have trust in yourself and your abilities.
