We collected information from 3,000+ students who took the AIIMS PG exam on 5th May 2019 to help you understand how the exam was for others.
We have consolidated data from all the responses and have tried to present an accurate picture of the exam standard.
Overall Difficulty
The exam was moderate to difficult:
35% of the students said that the exam was Difficult
63.2% remarked that the exam was Moderate
Pattern of questions
Most questions were concept based clinical scenarios, candidates said that good clinical knowledge is required for cracking this exam.
There were more than 30-35 image-based questions and 2 video-based questions
The clinical scenarios were difficult.
50 questions were directly on the new exam pattern
The paper was divided into different sections containing the following questions:
a) SBR (Single Best Response)- Normal pattern questions- 150 ques
b) Sequential Arrangement -8 ques.
c) Assertion & Reasoning- 10 ques.
d) True/ False- 10 ques.
e) Extended Matching-2 ques
f) Match the following- 10 ques
g) MCA (Multiple Correct Answers)- 10 ques

Medicine, OBGYN, PSM, Pharmacology, Pathology, Surgery
How many questions did students attempt?
According to our survey, the maximum number of candidates attempted 160-180 questions.

The maximum number of students found that the exam was difficult to finish within 3 hours.
In our survey, 71% students said that the exam was very lengthy and it was no easy to finish it within 3 hours.
