Here is an important notification for all the PG aspirants across the country as JIPMER has released its application form for aspirants seeking admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a renowned medical institute in Puducherry offering various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for medical students. It has recently released notification for conducting JIPMER MD/MS session entrance examination, for admissions under MD/MS courses, which will be held twice a year for January, 2018 & July, 2018 sessions. The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode on November 19, 2018 for January session and in May 2018 for July session.

For July 2018 session, aspirants will be able to register themselves from March 2018.

4 marks awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark deducted for a wrong answer.
JIPMER PG 2018 Application Form for January session is now available which is to be filled online from September 11, 2017 onwards. Online registration will close on October 18, 2017.

The exam is expected to be conducted in 17 cities across the country. Applicants will be required to opt 3 cities as per their convenience while filling the application form and thus, allotment of centre will be done on the basis of first come first serve basis. Moreover, no request for the change of centre will be entertained.
Admit Card of JIPMER PG 2018 for January session will be made available online in November 2017. It must be downloaded by the candidates by entering their application number and password provided to them at the time of online registration.
JIPMER will not publish any answer Key of JIPMER PG 2018 as the entrance exam is conducted in online mode. Also, any other medical coaching institute will not publish the answer key.
The result of JIPMER PG 2017 for January session will be announced in December 2018 while for July session, it will be declared in May 2018. Candidates can check their result by entering their application number and password. Moreover, JIPMER PG 2018 result will be released only for those candidates who qualify in the entrance exam, as per the prospectus.

Merit List will be based on percentile method and will include candidate’s name, All India Rank, marks obtained, etc. The validity of the merit list will only be until the current academic session.
Counseling for January session will be conducted batch-wise in three rounds between December 13, 2017 and January 30, 2018. It will be conducted in offline mode at the University Campus, Puducherry.
