NEET PG 2025 Result Date

While the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has not officially declared the result date yet, we can make a well-informed prediction based on past timelines.

How to Check NEET PG 2025 Results

Once the result is announced by NBE, candidates will be able to access it in two forms—either through a scorecard login or via a PDF document with qualified candidate details.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

• Visit the official websites: nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in
• Click on the NEET PG 2025 Results link from the homepage.
• Either:
  • Download the PDF to check if you’re qualified, OR
  • Log in with your credentials to access your personal scorecard
• Download and save the result for future reference.

Your NEET PG scorecard will include:

• Total score (out of 800)
• NEET PG 2025 percentile
• All India Rank (AIR)
• Category-wise qualifying status

NEET PG 2025 Expected Cut-off

The NEET PG qualifying cut-off is the minimum score a candidate must obtain to be eligible for counselling. The cut-off score varies every year depending on factors like paper difficulty, number of candidates, and available seats.

According to the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, the qualifying percentile for each category is as follows:

• General (UR): 50th percentile
• OBC/SC/ST: 40th percentile

Factors That May Influence Cut-offs

There are a plethora of variables that can impact the actual cut-off: 

1. Difficulty level of the question paper - It is a no brainer that if the question was perceived as a tad tougher, the cutoff is typically set lower. 
2. Number of Test-Takers - If there are more candidates competing, naturally there are going to be slightly higher cutoffs. 
3. Total Seats Available - If more seats are available either due to new colleges or seat increases, the cut off is most likely to drop. 
4. Performance of Top Rankers - If top scores are significantly higher than average, the cut-off tends to increase. 

What If You Don’t Qualify?

There is nothing to panic about if you don’t qualify. In the past few years, the NMC has lowered the qualifying percentile during later counselling rounds. This ensures that the vacant seats in private medical colleges are filled. 

Let’s take an instance when in NEET PG 2023, the qualifying percentile was reduced to zero during the mop-up round. This was done to fill the vacant seats, allowing all candidates o participate. 

So even if you don’t qualify in the initial round, stay patient and monitor MCC/NMC announcements.

What Happens After the Results?

Once the NEET PG 2025 result is declared, here’s what comes next:

1. Merit List Declaration

The NBE will release an official merit list containing All India Ranks (AIRs) and category-wise ranks.

2. Counselling Process

• 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats counselling will be conducted by MCC.
• The remaining 50% will be handled by respective state counselling authorities.

3. Document Verification

You’ll need to keep the following documents ready:

• NEET PG 2025 scorecard
• MBBS Degree/Provisional Certificate
• Internship Completion Certificate
• Valid ID Proof
• Category Certificate (if applicable)

4. Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

You’ll be asked to fill your preferred colleges and courses. Seats will be allotted based on:

• Your rank
• Reservation criteria
• Availability of seats
• Order of preferences
