Here is an important update for the candidates participating in NEET-PG 2018 counseling.
As per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in W.P. (c) 267/2017 DAR-US-SLAM EDUCATIONAL TRUST and Ors. Vs. MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA and Ors. Dated 09.05.2017.
“After the second round of counseling for All India Quota seats, the students who take admission in All India Quota seats should not be allowed/ permitted to vacate the seats. This would ensure that very few seats are reverted to State Quota and also All India Quota seats are filled by students from all India merit list only. The students who take admission and secure admission in Deemed Universities pursuant to the second round of counseling conducted by DGHS shall not be eligible to participate in any other counseling.”
In this regard, all the counseling authorities (State/ NBE) are hereby informed that as per the directions in the W.P. (c ) 267/2017, all those candidates who have taken admission/joined the allotted seat in the second round of counseling for 50% All India Quota & Deemed Universities are not eligible to participate in any other counseling for State Quota/ DNB.
Further, counseling authorities are hereby directed not to allow such candidates in their counseling to avoid any legal complications and contempt of the court.
