What Can You Carry Inside the NEET PG 2026 Exam Centre?
Aug 27, 2026

Arriving at the examination centre with the wrong documents or prohibited items is one of the most common reasons for last-minute panic.
Because examination centres do not have any provisions for the safekeeping of your personal belongings, bringing a banned item means you will have to leave it outside at your own risk.
To ensure a smooth entry, you must strictly follow the National Board of Examinations (NBE) rules regarding what is allowed and what is explicitly banned.
NEET PG 2026 Must-Carry Documents (Permitted Items)
You will not be allowed inside the examination hall without these three specific documents. Keep them organized in a clear folder the night before.
| Document | Specific NBE Requirement |
| Admit Card | Must be a COLOUR printout on a single A4-size white paper, printed BACK TO BACK. |
| Government Photo ID | Must be the ORIGINAL HARD COPY and valid/non-expired.Accepted IDs: PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving license, Aadhaar card (with photograph). |
| Medical Registration | A COLOUR photocopy of your Permanent or Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration. This copy will be retained by the test centre. |
Should You Disable Aadhaar Biometric Lock Before NEET PG 2026?
NBE uses Aadhaar-based biometric (fingerprint) authentication at the examination centres. If you have previously locked your biometric data to prevent identity theft, your fingerprint verification at the centre will fail, leading to potential denial of entry.
Important: The standard "Unlock" feature on the mAadhaar app only unlocks your biometrics temporarily for 10 minutes. Because mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the centre, this 10-minute window will expire before you reach the registration desk. Therefore, you must completely disable the lock via the UIDAI website before leaving home.

Special Cases and Exam Day Rules
- Medicines and Medical Devices: If you require medicine or a medical assistance device during the exam, you must carry supportive medical documents. Without these, the medicine or device will be confiscated at the gate.
- Henna/Mehndi: Refrain from tattooing your fingers with henna or colours in the days leading up to the exam, as this will interfere with the fingerprint biometric registration.
- Washroom Breaks: Once you have registered for the exam at the centre, you are not permitted to take a bio-break until the exam actually starts. Plan accordingly.
- Reporting Time: The reporting counter closes exactly 30 minutes before the test begins. Any delay in arrival will lead to a strict denial of entry.
