Government Colleges

Seats are allotted purely on merit through NEET PG or INI-CET ranks, with transparent counseling conducted by MCC or state authorities. This ensures fairness — but the cutoffs are extremely high, and competition is fierce.

Private Colleges

Government Colleges

Private Colleges

Only a few high-end private institutions offer stipends — and even then, they’re often lower than government stipends. In most cases, PG students in private colleges must cover all expenses themselves.

Government Colleges

There comes a service bond of usually 1-5 years with most government seats and this requires you to work in government hospitals often in rural or underserved areas. This can sure limit your flexibility but ensures job security post PG. If you choose to break the bond, it can lead to hefty penalties, sometimes around ₹10–₹50 lakhs. 

Private Colleges
