NEET PG 2023 Admit Card

The NBEMS released the admit cards on their website on February 27, 2023. You must download your admit card from the website and attach a recent passport-sized photograph that meets the following requirements. 

  • The photograph should have a minimum size of 35x45mm, and 75% of the area should feature the candidate's face and head. 
  • It should be a color photograph with a white background, displaying a neutral expression and a full front view of the face. 
  • No accessories like caps, stethoscopes, goggles, or ornaments should be worn, and there should be no reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes. 
  • The photograph should be printed on high-quality paper with at least 600 dpi resolution and free of kinks, scratches, and stains.

NEET PG 2023: Test Day Procedures 

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released guidelines for candidates appearing for an upcoming NEET PG 2023 exam.

Reporting Time 

NBEMS has staggered time slots for the candidates to avoid crowding. So, you will be provided with a specific time slot to report at the exam center, which is mentioned on the admit card. You must report to the test venue at the specified time indicated on your admit card. 

The reporting counter will close 30 minutes before the test start time to allow for security checks, identity verification, and check-in. Candidates who arrive late or beyond the prescribed time will not be allowed to take the exam.

Test Centre Location 

You can find the exact address and location of your exam center on your admit card. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the location and its distance from your place in advance to report in time for the exam.

Barcode/ QR Code Reader at Entry Points 

Upon reaching the exam center you will come across the exam functionary with a barcode/QR code reader. You will need to show him your admit card and ID proof for verification and, subsequently, you will be provided the assigned lab number. 

Note: Candidates who display a temperature above normal or any other COVID-19 symptoms will be sent to an isolation lab to take the exam.

Important Documents You Must Carry

Identity checks at the exam center are mandatory to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the exam. For this purpose, you must carry the following documents to the exam center: 

  • Printed copy of Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card with his/her recent coloured photograph pasted on it.
  • Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration*(this will be retained at the exam center) 
  • Govt issued original photo IDs, for instance, pan card, driving license, voted ID, passport, aadhar card.

Security at the Test Center

Certain items are not allowed to be taken inside the exam center. This includes any stationery items, electronic devices, ornaments, eatables, or any other items that could be used for unfair means to the test center.

Finger Biometrics 

Finger biometrics and photographs of the candidates will be captured at the time of registration for the test and during the exam to ensure that only genuine candidates appear for the exam. Manual attendance with signature and manual thumb impression will also be taken.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Day: Do’s & Don’ts

Do’s:

Here are some important do’s you must keep in mind for the NEET PG 2023 exam - 

  1. Do Carry Your Admit Card and ID proof 

The admit card is the most crucial document that you need to carry to the exam center. Along with the admit card, you also have to carry a valid government-issued ID proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, or Passport for verification purposes.

  1. Do Reach the Exam Center on Time 

You must reach the exam center at least an hour before the exam's scheduled time to avoid any last-minute rush. This will give you sufficient time to complete the entry formalities and get settled before the exam.

  1. Do Eat Light and Stay Hydrated 

Eat a light breakfast on the day of the exam to avoid any stomach discomfort. It is advisable to carry a water bottle to the exam center to stay hydrated during the exam.

  1. Do Follow the Exam Instructions 

Make sure to carefully read and follow the exam instructions given by the invigilator before starting the exam. Any violation of the exam rules may result in disqualification.

To ensure you answer maximum questions accurately, it’s important to manage the given time efficiently and most importantly leave the last 10 minutes for revision.

  1. Don’t Carry Any Electronic Gadgets 

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, or any other electronic devices to the exam center. Violation of this rule may lead to disqualification from the exam.

  1. Don’t Forget To Carry The Necessary Items 

You must ensure that you carry all the necessary items, such as the admit card, ID proof, and other necessary documents listed above, to the exam center. Forgetting any essential item may lead to panic and stress during the exam.

  1. Don’t Talk to Other Candidates During the Exam

Candidates should maintain complete silence during the exam and avoid talking to other candidates. Any disturbance caused by the candidate may lead to disqualification from the exam.

  1. Don’t Attempt Questions Without Proper Understanding 

Candidates should read and understand the questions carefully before attempting them. Rushing to answer the questions without proper understanding may lead to mistakes and negatively impact the exam score.

  1. Don’t Panic During the Exam
