What do you think is the correct approach to study for Super Specialty exams? Only MCQ's or Theory + MCQ's?

According to me, MCQ's backed by Theory is a correct approach.

When should the preparation ideally be started?

The preparations should ideally be started in such a way that you are able to make atleast 2 revisions before exam.

Please list the books that you studied.

The good old NELSON is BOOK OF CHOICE. I have also read Sushanth Bhanja McQ book for practicing. PrepLadder Grand tests and topic-wise MCQ ‘s helped me to cover a lot of important topics. Thank you PREPLADDER.

Yes, I have attempted NEET-SS 2017. I have secured AIR 250. I was not well prepared at that time. I have just focused on theory. After NEET, I realized the more the MCQ 's I am going to cover more the chances of securing a good rank. So, this time I gave equal importance to theory & MCQ’s.

How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for Super Specialty and how much time should be dedicated for it?

I have prepared in haste for DNB-SS and I could revise only once. Ideally, it should be two revisions before exam.

Yes, I always believe in planning well before the exam and making a time table. I always stick to it at any cost. It gives me discipline that is required to be a best among betters.

I have always been a mediocre when comes to theory. I just focused on concepts and they helped me in the entrance exams.

List the most difficult and easiest units for you.

I found Systemic Pediatrics to be easier than General Pediatrics.

What was your exam taking strategy? How many questions did you attempt in DNB SS?

Attempt as many MCQ’s as possible in exam. Unless you are absolutely sure you have no idea about that question do not leave it. I have attempted 172 questions in DNB-SS, even few lucky instinctive guesses can improve your rank immeasurably
