Application Process for NEET SS 

Details of NEET SS 2024 Examination, Application Form, Dates, and Information Bulletin will be updated in the coming weeks in the month of July 2024 on its official website by the NBE. Application forms will be submitted when available on the NBE website.

The NEET SS 2024 application process comprises the following five essential steps:

  • Registration,
  • Completion of the application form,
  • Uploading of scanned documents,
  • Fee payment, and 
  • Printing of the confirmation page.

Understanding the Marking Scheme and Qualifying Criteria for NEET SS 

As a candidate preparing for the NEET-SS exam, where the competition quotient is high, and to secure your branch of medicine, surgery, or pediatrics, it is pertinent to have a good understanding of the marking scheme and qualifying criteria.

Every correct answer in the NEET SS Medicine examination fetches four marks. Questions that are not attempted do not fetch any marks. Negative marking applies in this exam.

You will need to score more than or equal to the 50th percentile to qualify for the exam. 

Eligibility Criteria for the NEET SS Exam

Following is the eligibility for NEET SS as per information bulletin 2023 released by NBE:

  • A candidate must possess or anticipate obtaining a recognized PG medical degree by September 30, 2023.
  • Registration with NMC/State Medical Council is mandatory, with documentation required on the exam day.
  • Foreign nationals, including OCI cardholders, would be eligible to appear for NEET-SS 2023 without NMC registration but have to apply for temporary registration from NMC.
  • Candidates admitted to the course or enrolled for a Doctoral course (DM/MCh/DrNB) through NEET-SS are not eligible for admission to DrNB superspecialty courses through NEET-SS. The admit card is provisional in nature to appear in the NEET-SS 2023 and does not establish the eligibility or any right on behalf of DM/MCh/DrNB super specialty admission.
