The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) – June 2025 on 26th July 2025, and will now conduct the FMGE – December 2025 (January Session 2026) on 17th January 2026, on a computer-based platform at various examination centers across the country.
As per the latest schedule, the FMGE January Session 2026 exam is scheduled for 17th January 2026.

It’s come through the official notice that the application process will be entirely online via the official NBEMS website— natboard.edu.in. The aspirants will get around one month to complete the application process which we feel is enough.
The process starts with the online registration, where you will be asked to provide your basic details. Once the registration is completed, you’ll be required to fill out the FMGE 2026 application form with personal, academic, internship, and medical qualification details.
Uploading scanned images and supporting documents, and paying a non-refundable application fee, will be the next steps in the process. Unless you complete all these processes correctly, the candidature will not be considered valid.
You will also get numerous opportunities to edit the application and upload any missing or incorrect documents. You will get the admit card only when all your applications are complete and correct in every aspect.
And, if you wish to establish your eligibility, you will be required to upload several documents, including proof of primary medical qualification, attested from the respective Indian Embassy or apostille authority, eligibility certificates, admission letters, and identity proofs of citizenship. Any discrepancies will have to be corrected within the time window provided by NBEMS.
