Read on to follow in the footsteps of FMGE toppers.
You have been preparing for this exam for a long time, and now is your chance to perform and ace the FMGE June ‘23 exam. The last few days before the exam can be nerve-racking, and the anxiety can make you lose track of your goal.
To ensure you keep a cool head and perform to the best of your potential, we have outlined some of the crucial things you need to keep in mind before this last phase of the exam.
Dr. Faizan studied and revised 12 out of 19 subjects properly, and this made all the difference!
In fact, his fellow topper and study partner, Dr. Tafheem (Score: 239), employed a similar strategy. Dr. Tafheem managed to complete ten subjects with proper revision before finishing the rest of the syllabus and earned a superb score in the FMGE Jan ‘23 exam.
During the final six months, Dr. Faizan devoted his time entirely to revising his Rapid Revision notes and attempting QBanks from PrepLadder. In fact, he managed to commit 5-6 hours of study every day, even during his internship in Bangladesh.
We have said this before, and we will say it again. Revision is the key. Even if you somehow manage to study all 19 subjects before the exam, you will not remember any of them without proper revision.
Focus on completing the most important subjects first. These include your final year subjects from which the maximum number of questions are asked.
Oh, by the way, as long as we are on the topic of revision, why don’t you check out our FMGE 2023 Flashback Series on YouTube? It’s where our top FMGE faculty provide you with the most important PYQs, break them down and show you how to answer them.
You can find the complete FMGE 2023 Flashback Series playlist here.
Here’s the daily routine that Dr Faizan followed. He studied as much as he could the entire day and then closed his books by around 10 PM. He avoided pulling all-nighters and made sure to give his brain enough time to rest and commit the information to memory.
This was an excellent way of maintaining positive mental health during preparation and, at the same time, allowing the body and mind to rejuvenate.
The tip here is to remember to take adequate rest.
This is as important as studying. You are taking in a tremendous amount of information right now, and getting adequate rest is crucial to keeping all that information stored inside for the long term.

Dr. Faizan stuck to Rapid Revision during the last two weeks before the exam. He gave 2-3 days to revise each subject and managed to complete 12 subjects with proper revision before the exam.
“My only source was PrepLadder’s Rapid Revision. The notes were concise, and that helped me a lot”, said Dr Faizan when interviewed by our top faculty, Dr. Preeti Sharma.
So if you are still using multiple sources for revision, it is time to get rid of all the extra material and stick to one that is concise and easy to complete.
And that is it. These three tips might seem extremely simple, but they are insanely effective when it comes to boosting your exam preparation.

Bonus tip: Before we conclude, here is another excellent piece of advice that Dr. Faizan gave during his interview.
To maintain your momentum and drive to study, it is important to stay motivated. But that’s easier said than done, isn’t it? We understand staying motivated is tough, but there are certain actions you can take to help yourself.
For example, Dr. Faizan was quite inspired by Dr. Deepak Marwah, our faculty for Medicine, who hardly needs any introduction. Dr. Marwah’s words, “Keep hammering!” were stuck in his mind and that gave him the extra push to study whenever he needed it.
In addition, he watched motivational videos on YouTube whenever he could find the time. The point here is that he found his own source of motivation, and it worked for him. You could do the same. Talk to a friend, watch videos on YouTube or exercise. Do what works for you.
And with that, we have reached the end of this post. We hope that this post helped you. Apply these three tips immediately in your preparation and watch the magic happen.
