Hello, please tell us something about yourself.
Hi. I am Dr. Vipin Pandey. I did MBBS from Southeast University. I have scored 223 in FMGE Dec 2018.
What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?
According to me, studying theory first and then testing your theory knowledge by doing MCQs will help you more in your preparation.
When should the preparation ideally be started?
To be honest, I dedicated my entire time only for FMGE from June 2018 onwards.
Please list the books you studied for each subject.
Notes for fmge and individual subject review books for MCQs. like Rebecca James Biochemistry, Microbiology by Vikas sir, Devesh Mishra Pathology, Deepak Marwah Medicine, Prtiesh Singh Surgery, and Fmge Solutions.
Have you attempted FMGE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success
This was my first attempt.
How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it?
The most important thing in any exam preparation is the revision and you should plan time for revision before starting your preparation for fmge itself and in my case, I gave around 2 months for revision.
Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how?
Yes, PrepLadder was helpful in my preparation, mostly the grand tests which showed me where I stand, and allowed me to focus on my weak topics.
Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?
Yes, I did, and a good study plan will definitely help you in your preparation.
Were you a topper or a mediocre student during graduation?
Not really, just an average student.
List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you.
I personally felt that I could have dedicated more time for PROFs subjects.
One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE
A revision is must and so does the mcqs and grand tests as well.
