AMENORRHEA

Primary amenorrhea refers to the absence of menstruation by the age of 16 years in the presence of normal growth and development of secondary sexual characteristics or the absence of menstruation by the age of 14 years in the absence of secondary sexual characteristics. Secondary amenorrhea refers to the cessation of menstruation for more than 6 months in women who have previously had regular menstrual cycles.

These conditions can have a wide range of causes, including genetic disorders, hormonal imbalances, anatomical abnormalities, and psychological factors.
