All You Need To Know About INI SS Exam 2025

INI SS or Institute of National Importance Super Speciality has recently announced the exam date for admission to DM, M.Ch., MD hospital administration courses. The INI SS exam is organised twice every year by AIIMS New Delhi at national level. 

Those who appear and qualify the exam are eligible to gain admission at various reputed institutions – AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, etc.

The Institute of National Importance Super-Specialty Entrance Test (INI SS) 2025 for the July session is currently underway. The online registration began on April 22, 2025, and the last date to apply is May 6, 2025, until 5:00 PM. Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official AIIMS INI SS portal at iniss.aiimsexams.ac.in.

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is scheduled for May 24, 2025. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on admit card release and other important notifications.

Important Dates of INI-SS Exam 2023

Eligibility 

• The candidate must possess MBBS or an equivalent degree. 
• Minimum experience of 3 years in a government hospital in the relevant field or 5 years in general practice. The candidate will be required to submit a certificate issued by the District Magistrate in support of the general practice.
• Candidates from the UR/OBC/EWS/Sponsored category must obtain 55% aggregate in all MBBS professional examinations.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST caste must have obtained 50% aggregate marks in all MBBS professional examinations.
• Candidates must be registered with the central/state medical registration council.
• Candidates already holding MD/MS or an equivalent degree are not eligible for the course.
• Indian National candidates who graduated from foreign universities must submit their NMC screening marks

Application Process

The applicants are requested to visit the site frequently to keep themselves updated with the latest information. The access and different components of the application process will be enabled/disabled as per the dates specified in the Important Dates Tab.

How to Apply for INI SS 2025

To apply for INI SS 2025, candidates must follow these simple steps:

• Step-1: Visit the online website (www.aiimsexams.ac.in).
• Step-2: Press on “Click Here” button given on New Registration page for INI SS.
• Step-3: Fill in correct details like name, DOB, Address, contact number, email ID, etc.
• Step-4: Login with the help of login credentials and navigate to application form.
• Step-5: Provide details like personnel information and academic qualification etc.
• Step-6: Now, make payment of registration fee via online payment gateways
• Step-7: Upload recently taken photograph, signature & thumb impression in prescribed format.
• Step-8: Click on “Submit” button and a registration slip will be generated on screen.
• Step-9: At last, take the printout of registration slip and fee receipt for future references.

Exam Pattern

The INI-SS Exam will be conducted in two stages through online CBT mode in english. The stage 1 exam duration will be 90 minutes. Candidates will be asked to answer 80 multiple choice questions. Each correct answer will score 1 mark and incorrect answer will get minus one third. Unanswered questions will not score any marks. 

As for the syllabus, you can expect questions from the general/basic component of the qualifying educational qualification and from sub-speciality/system.components the speciality course for which the examination is being conducted.  

The stage 2 exam is applicable to all AIIMS only and carries a total of 20 marks. 

The qualifying criteria in stage 1 is 50%.

And, to qualify for AIIMS Seat allocation a candidate must obtain 50 percent (%) or more marks in Stage-I & Stage-II combined. 

After the examination, two different merit lists of qualified candidates will be declared based on performance in Stage – I & Stage – II examination - a common merit list and an AIIMS merit list.

INI SS 2025 Counselling

The INI SS Counselling 2025 is organised by the authority in June/ July for July session admissions. The complete counselling  procedure is organised through online mode.

The seat allotment is released based on choices of institute and courses filled, merit secured in AML & CML and performance in entrance exam. Candidates have to report directly at the allotted institute with the downloaded offer letter and required documents for verification.
