What is the correct approach to revise effectively for NBE exams?

Since the syllabus for PGMEE is very vast, nobody can possibly know everything about every topic. So the question stands on how you should study for the most important exam of your life. 1. Have a strong hold on facts.

If you know the facts clearly, then attempting questions in exams conducted by NBE would not be difficult. You should try and cover maximum topics from the surface even if you don't have an in depth knowledge about those topics. The recently concluded DNB CET exam mostly had One Line, factual questions. Candidates say that to answer these questions correctly you did not need conceptual knowledge. You either knew the answer or you didn't. There was no point wasting time thinking about the correct answer.

2. Focus on Pre and Para clinical subjects.

As much as 60% exam was from Pre and Para clinical subjects in every session in DNB CET. The same pattern will be followed in NEET PG. So focus on these subjects during revision.

3. Revise. Revise. Revise

This pattern of exam can only be cracked by repeated revision. This is the only way you can remember volatile facts. You should mostly read your notes and only refer to standard text books in case of some confusion.

4. Practice what you learn

Lay a lot of emphasis on practicing questions during revision. Take mock tests very seriously and simulate an exam like scenario every week. 5. Repeated question

Go through previous year's papers. Chances of repetition are high for previous year's questions. However, questions are usually repeated with a twisted options or the way question is put across.
