PrepLadder congratulates Dr. Swasti Pathak on securing Rank 6 in the NEET PG exam. We wish her all the best for her career and future ahead.
In this exclusive interview with PrepLadder, she shares the plan that worked for her to help to get an amazing Rank in NEET PG.
Hello, please tell us something about yourself.
Hi, My name is Swasti Pathak and I have completed my M.B.B.S from King George's Medical College, Lucknow. I secured Rank 6 in NEET PG December 2016.
What do you think is the correct approach to study for NEET PG? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?
Theory plus MCQs is a must. But I personally didn't get enough time to go through individual guidebooks. I solved previous question papers once I was done with a subject.
When should the preparation ideally be started?
Candidates must start as early as possible. Concepts must be built whilst doing MBBS so that we can easily refresh things up during our internship. As there are so many subjects and it is not humanely possible to read everything in one year.
Please list the books you studied for each subject.

Have you attempted PGMEE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success?
No, this was my first attempt.
How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for NEET PG and how much time should be dedicated for it?
Revision is the key, The more you revise, the better. I revised thrice before appearing in NEET
Did PrepLadder play a part in your success? If yes, how?
PrepLadder was the stress buster for me. The daily quizzes are quite good. I used to give subject wise tests also once I finished a subject. Its a great platform for self evaluation. I gave NBE based All India test on PrepLadder as well which was very close to my real NEET PG session.
I used a time table so as to keep a check if I was spending too much time on a subject.
Most difficult : PSM and Micro
Easiest : Biochemistry, Medicine and Pharma
