Yes, FMGE has currently introduced a CBT i.e Computer Based Examination instead of paper and pencil test. This change in the examination process has started from June,2014 administration. Inspite of reading on a paper booklet and answering by using a pencil/pen to darken the ovals on the answer sheet, candidates will have to read the questions on computer terminals and click on the correct answer at this time.
The main difference is in the way the questions are presented, and how responses are recorded.
No, the candidate cannot take the exam on any computer. He/she will be assigned a workstation, at the test venue which is selected by him/ her at the time of registration.
The FMGE is conducted twice a year i.e in the month of June and December. According to the availability of the test centres, the dates of the examination are notified on the NBE website.
No restriction is found regarding the number of attempts made by an applicant. Nevertheless, a candidate can make only one attempt in each testing workstation during the time of the exam.
