Hi I am Gayathri Ranie A P from Coimbatore Medical College. My NEET rank is 18.
A combined approach is advisable, with more importance to solving MCQs.
I started preparing after my internship. Having a good understanding of the basics in the UG period will give a head start. Rather than the duration of preparation, it is the intensity that matters.
I read the class notes of all subjects.
Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Short subjects - Arvind Arora
Pharmacology, Pathology - Sparsh Gupta
SPM - Vivek Jain
Ortho - Apurv Mehra
OBG - Braintrainer by Dr Revathi Ratan
Medicine - I studied only the class notes.
I attended the PGMEE 2016 during my internship without any preparation. I had secured 26000 odd rank.
I used to solve the mock tests regularly. The image based questions and the analysis at the end of tests were highly useful.
Because of this detailed analysis I did not lose marks even in my weak areas.
Yes.. A time table is mandatory.. it gives us a perspective of where we stand in our preparation and keeps us in the right track.
Somewhere in the middle, I guess.
Rather than easy/difficult, a few were my favorite. I alternately scheduled a favorite subject with a not-so-favorite one, so the pace doesn't slacken.
One shouldn't spend too much time for any one subject at the cost of another. Revision should never be compromised.
Focus on yourself. Do not let the magnitude of the competition discourage you. Be consistent in your preparation. Give your 100 percent to the process and worry not about the result. Keep revising, keep solving MCQs and never lose the spirit and you will be sure to do well in NEET PG.
