Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2025
The eligibility criteria for the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2025 are the following:
Nationality:
- Candidate must be an Indian national to apply for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling
- Non-resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for the 15 per cent NRI quota seats in unaided private/minority medical colleges
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are not eligible for Maharashtra PG medical counselling
Domicile:
- Candidate must have passed the final examination of the MBBS degree course from an institute in Maharashtra
- He/she must have completed the compulsory rotatory internship within the stipulated date as stated by NMC
- Candidates who have passed MBBS from a foreign university are not eligible
- Candidates who are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra and have completed his/her MBBS from outside Maharashtra (allocated a seat under 15 per cent AIQ), were also eligible for the counselling of Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2025.

- A copy of the duly filled application form for Maharashtra NEET PG 2025 counselling.
- The NEET PG 2025 scorecard or result.
- NEET PG admit card 2025
- A valid photo ID proof (these include Aadhar card, Driving license, PAN card, Passport).
- A certificate of nationality such as Passport, School Leaving Certificate (class X or XII).
- MBBS degree.
- An Internship Completion Certificate, stating that the candidate has completed his or her internship on or before March 31, 2025.
- A Permanent or provisional Registration Certificate, issued by MCI/SMC.
- A certificate from the Head of the Institute, from which the candidate has completed his or her MBBS degree, stating that the institute is recognised by MCI.
- A Medical Fitness Certificate
- A Receipt for the application fee of Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2025
- A Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- A Medical Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- A No Objection Certificate (for in-service candidates)
- An Orphan Certificate (if applicable)

The Process of Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2025
Let’s begin with the online registration and application process.
- Candidates need to register themselves on the official website mahacet.org.
- All candidates are required to read the instructions carefully before filing the application form.
- No provision shall be made to make changes in the application form once it is submitted online. Candidates who want to make changes to the form can do so before making the final submission.
- A non-refundable fee of Rs. 3000 must be paid by the candidate to complete the registration process. A receipt of the application fee must be preserved for future reference.
- The final step of the registration process is uploading the documents online. Applicants of the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2025 must note that documents cannot be uploaded without paying the registration fee first.
Common State Merit List
If a candidate is declared eligible according to the marks obtained in the NEET PG exam, then his or her name is published in the common state merit list in the official website of State CET cell. Only candidates deemed eligible after the document verification process will find their names on this list.
Online Preference Filling
Candidates have to fill a preference form online to apply for seats. The details of the seats available through the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2025 are published online. Choices in the preference form can be changed any number of times before submission. Once submitted, no changes are allowed.
Selection Process by CAP
Candidates are selected according to the rank obtained in the state merit list and on the basis of the choices filled in the preference form.

As a measure to stop the spread of coronavirus in India, authorities have introduced the facility of e-reporting. This method is useful for those candidates who are unable to report to the institution physically.
Such candidates have to send in scanned copies of their documents via mail, and if the candidate is found eligible, then they are asked to deposit the academic fee.
On the other hand, candidates who are able to physically report to the institution must carry all their documents with them for verification purposes. After the verification process is complete, they have to deposit the fees and join duty immediately after.
