This year's exam presented a mix of challenges, with many students finding it more difficult compared to previous years. Here’s a detailed analysis of the NEET PG 2025 exam based on a survey conducted with the students who took the test.
The NEET PG 2025 exam was perceived as moderately difficult by a majority of students. Specifically, 82% of students rated the exam as moderate, 9.8% found it difficult, and only 8.2% found it easy.
The NEET PG 2025 paper showed a clear tilt towards clinical and concept-based questions, with limited reliance on direct one-liners. According to student responses, 49.2% of the questions were clinical in nature, demanding applied knowledge and decision-making skills. 41% were concept-based, testing core understanding across subjects.
In contrast, only 9.8% of the questions were straightforward one-liners, indicating that rote memorization played a very minor role. This shift reinforces the need for integrated, case-based preparation strategies going forward.
Most students who attempted the NEET PG 2025 exam found it moderate to difficult. While some felt it was manageable, others pointed out that the questions were tricky—appearing simple but paired with confusing options. The overall tone of the feedback suggests that the exam tested depth more than breadth.

We asked the students how many questions they were able to answer within the given time. 78.7% of the students reported that they were able to attempt between 151-200 questions and 21.3% could attempt between 101-150 questions.
83.6% of students found the 3-hour 30-minute exam duration to be adequate, while 16.4% felt the time was insufficient. This highlights the importance of effective time management during the exam.
According to the responses received, 39.3% of students found the questions centered around challenging clinical scenarios. Another 54.1% felt that although the questions appeared easy, the answer choices were confusing. Additionally, 6.6% reported encountering unfamiliar one-liners, which added to the difficulty.

When asked about the number of repeat questions in the exam, responses varied widely. While a few students recalled encountering over 60 repeats, others mentioned seeing between 5–20 repeat questions. A small portion of students reported encountering no repeats at all. Notably, several respondents couldn’t remember the exact count, suggesting that while repeats were present, they weren’t a dominant feature of the paper.

We asked the students how many questions they were able to answer in the given time and 83.8% of the students were able to answer between 15-200 questions. It clearly indicated that the 3 hours 30 minutes was sufficient time to attempt the questions.
74.4% students agreed that the exam was easy to finish in the allotted time.
Regarding how the questions were framed, more than 60% students said that questions were easy but with difficult options and 30.5% students said that the exam has more difficult clinical scenario based questions.
